How do I get around the site? Click the CastingVote logo (top left) to go to CastingVote home page.
Once there, click your country name (or "Rest of the World") to choose a
country. Click your flag (top right) to go to your country home page.How do I vote?
There are about 10 new votes on the CastingVote home page and
many more accessible from your country home page. For
example, go back to the CastingVote home page and click one of the "New
Votes". This displays a voting form. Answer all the questions by clicking on the
little circular buttons or menus and press either vote
button.
How do I register for email? Click here
to register for Vote-of-the-day.
How do I stop getting email? Choose "no email" on the register form, or send a
blank email to unregister@castingvote.com.
How do I vote by email? To vote by email, first register for email. When you receive an email with
votes, reply to vote@castingvote.com, editing
the email to add your decisions. The email message includes lines such as "Vote:_".
- You vote option a, by inserting "a" after the colon, e.g:
"Vote:a", "Vote:_a",
"Vote:A_".
- You answer yes or no, by inserting "yes" or
"no", e.g. "Vote:_yes".
Can my friends vote by email too ? Yes. If you have
received a particularly interesting vote by email, forward the whole message to them and
they can vote in the same way, by replying to vote@castingvote.com. You can type an
introduction of your own, into the message, providing you don't change the lines which
contain square brackets.
Why doesn't my browser
"Back" button work properly? Some browsers
count each time a form is displayed as a separate page. So, after voting, you have
to press "Back" several times. It is usually quicker to click "Back"
on the CastingVote navigation bar, or your country flag at the top right. |
